The good news is that the security we have already enabled to protect SwingMeOut.com prevented malicious users from logging into to the site. However, to be robust for dancers, event managers and all our stakeholders we have increased security. Now:
- all user registrations must be approved before permitted to list events;
- Two-factor authentication is required for all users.
Users that are already registered will have likely received an email from wordpress@swingmeout.com with the subject matter “2FA will soon be required on http://swingmeout.com”. This is not a spam or phishing email. However, if you are suspicious of the link, you should try to log in, and you should be prompted to set up two factor authentication, and guided how to do so.
